Who We Are Looking For

PEC is looking for a rock star Salesforce subject matter expert, ready to drive the innovative use of Salesforce within a SaaS based company who has the right blend of business acumen and technical skills. We are seeking someone who with an extensive background with Salesforce as an administrator, and in the design and development of Salesforce solutions, to head our Salesforce CRM and related systems. You will have expertise that spans across multiple systems, such as Gainsight, Pardot/Marketo, data.com, etc. You are a superb communicator and project manager who communicates complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. You will be passionate about your work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities.

 

What you'll be doing

You'll deal with highly ambiguous problems, taking full control and responsibility for finding solutions, and will drive towards simple, scalable, and efficient solutions to complex problems. You'll provide solutions that are highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable on the Salesforce platform. You will be the first full time  Salesforce administrator at PEC and will be responsible for realizing our strategic enterprise-wide Salesforce objectives by building our instance from the ground up with collaboration from our third party partners and Salesforce support team.

You Will:

  • Build & Administer the Salesforce and Pardot/Marketo environment; including customizing and implementing profiles, roles, security settings, sharing rules, applications, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts, workflow, validation rules, approvals, dashboards, reports, etc
  • Drive the innovative use of Salesforce.com as a productivity tool and business platform
  • Transform business objectives and functional requirements into technical Salesforce solutions
  • Train Salesforce users on end-to-end uses of the platform for their business use case. Facilitate ongoing training on a monthly and quarterly basis for users/super users to address ongoing issues and be proactive in proliferating new product information to increase adoption rates among PEC users
  • Interface with end users to understand feature requirements and/or address support issues, and work collaboratively with our Business Analyst and Development teams on more complex requests & issues
  • Maintain & Enhance visual layouts, workflow rules and business logic to enhance business processes and improve user experience
  • Identify business risks, inefficiencies, issues and opportunities related to Salesforce application administration
  • Deploy Salesforce meta-data between non-production and production environments using appropriate tools
  • Migrate data from our existing systems into our Salesforce database
  • Create documentation, maintaining standardization and looking for ways to continuously improve processes & procedures
  • Develop, launch, and manage in-depth dashboards and reports for all team functions at both management and individual levels in conjunction with the Business Intelligence Analyst and Finance
  • Provide support to Salesforce users in all groups to resolve issues with Salesforce and related applications
  • Project Manage the Salesforce rollout by coordinating with internal cross-functional teams, third party partners, and Salesforce support teams to ensure on-time deliverables and forward project momentum with the greatest possible efficiency
  • Work with Salesforce.com support to troubleshoot issues and maintain smooth operation and performance of the platform
  • Focus on proactive and creative solutions to meet current and future business needs
  • Coordinate with IT on implementation and post implementation support
  • Remain current on Salesforce.com best practices and technologies and advise on these practices for Salesforce based solutions

 

  • The person we're looking for will check most or all of these boxes: Salesforce Administrator Certification. Undergraduate degree with 3+ years of application/systems analysis experience (i.e. testing, project team work related to system functionality/process development). 3+ years of experience as a SFDC Administrator with over 50 users. Direct experience with automated tools to perform analysis and reporting (i.e. Business Objects, query writing) is required. 2+ years project management & coordination experience. Exceptional technical and functional proficiency in Salesforce administrative tasks including, and not limited to: Profiles, roles, security, workflows, validation rules, approvals, advances formulas, custom objects, reports and dashboards. 2+ years of hands on experience with Salesforce implementations, testing & support. 2+ years of experience with Pardot/Marketo. Must be able to transform business objectives and functional requirements into technical Salesforce solutions. Experience with large-scale enterprise level data migration into a Salesforce environment. Capability to manage the migration of change sets from development and testing sandboxes into the Salesforce production instance. Self-starter with a strong ability to use initiative and work autonomously or as part of a team on multiple efforts. Experience documenting and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels within the organization as well as collaborate with cross-functional business partners and technical teams. Ability to read, interpret and apply technical specifications.

Willingness and ability to coach and train less technical team members on Salesforce best practices.

 

*If no degree, 6 years application/systems analysis experience or 8 years experience in relevant business function developing significant technical skills with associated applications/systems.
